In a recent conversation with Ujjwal Trivedi, Sameer Soni took Karan and Farah to task and said, ‘All I want to say to Karan and Farah is that if you feel that the expenses are increasing then you are the one who is bearing all the expenses. You cannot sign a big star for Rs 100 crore and say that these people charge too much. There is something lacking in you too, otherwise there are people who will work for Rs 1 crore and even Rs 50 lakh. You have done all this.’

Before Sameer Soni, TV and Bollywood actor Rajeev Khandelwal had also targeted Karan Johar. Regarding Karan, Rajeev had said in an interview, ‘But who agreed to give them (actors) Rs 35 crore in the first place? If not Rs 35 crore, someone must have given them Rs 30 crore. Did you yourself give them Rs 25 crore? As long as Rs 25 crore was working for you, it was fine, but now that it is not benefiting you, you are openly complaining about the high salary.
